What I’m Consuming (and Why)

I think many of us are moving toward less screen time as we look ahead. But I keep coming back to the question: does that mean less social media, or simply being more intentional about what we’re taking in?

Lately, my focus hasn’t been on consuming less; just consuming better. These are a few things I’ve been returning to.

Going through my old photographs
It’s been three (!!!) years since I quit my job and traveled for a year, and I realized I hadn’t opened that archive in a long time. Revisiting those images, especially the ones I never edited, felt like stepping back into forgotten memories. Less nostalgia, more remembering what originally pulled me toward making images in the first place.

Positive morning affirmations on Spotify
As a creative freelancer, mindset quietly shapes the entire day. I’ve been listening to short positive-affirmation episodes in the morning, and the shift is subtle but real. Nothing dramatic, but just a steadier, more grounded start.

Sur_Collective
Her Instagram (@sur_collective) and Substack have become a place I return to when I want to feel inspired rather than overstimulated. The imagery is soft, thoughtful, and cozy in a way that encourages slowing down instead of scrolling faster.

Less noise. More intention. That’s what I’m consuming right now.
